Association of Ghanaians in Oslo and Viken was formed to uphold and promote the common needs and objectives of the Ghanaian community living in Oslo – Viken area of Norway. Upon realisation of the unifying force and mutually beneficial effects which `Citizens Associations` confer upon us, by the host country of Norway, thereby, voluntarily resolved to constitute ourselves into an Association on 16th November 2003.

The Association has been organising activities to commemorate Ghana ́s Independence and a host of others to serve as a platform for the community to portray our rich cultural heritage and promote the general image of Ghana in Norway.
